Create FiveM tattoos: place custom tattoos right on the ped
Chest, back, arms: in the 5MC Forge tattoo editor you place your own tattoos with a click right on the ped and see straight away where they sit in game. The design comes from you or from Forge AI. The video shows it in 24 seconds.
Custom tattoos are a status symbol on RP servers: the gang logo on the back, a crest on the chest, designs for the tattoo shop. Until now that meant setting values in an overlay file by hand, starting the game and adjusting until the tattoo roughly fit. In the 5MC Forge tattoo editor you simply click on the body instead.
The workflow in four steps
- Pick a design: upload an image; a plain background turns transparent. Or tell Forge AI what you want, for example “Cypher City tattoo with a glowing heart”. It shows a proposal first.
- Place on the ped: click on the body and the tattoo sits right there. Forge works out the body zone itself, for example chest, back or left arm.
- Adjust: drag to move, mouse wheel to resize, hold Shift to rotate. For each tattoo you choose men, women or both and switch in the preview.
- Build and test: Forge builds the resource with overlay file, textures and the names for tattoo shops. “To test server” puts it on your server, and in game you put it on with /tattoo.
Why the click on the ped saves so much
In GTA V tattoos are not clothing items but ped decorations. The body models have their own mapping for them in which each zone has its area, and the overlay file states position, size and rotation within it. You can't see those numbers. The editor works them out from the spot you click and shows the tattoo the way the game lays it on the skin.
Ideas that work well
- Gang and crew logos large on the back, small on the chest.
- A whole set for the tattoo shop: roses, skulls, lettering, tribals.
- Your server brand as a tattoo: if you store it in the “Brand” tab, the AI uses logo and colours.
- Matching the outfit: how to build shirts, pants and bandanas for it is in FiveM custom clothing with AI.
What it costs
The tattoo editor is part of every Forge plan, from Forge Creator at €19.99 a month, with your own images. Designs from Forge AI come with Forge Studio (€49.99 a month), with 100 test credits to try in the trial. Every plan can be tried free for 3 days.
Frequently asked questions
Do the tattoos work with tattoo shop scripts?
Forge builds a normal add-on tattoo resource with an overlay file and a list of names. Common tattoo shops read exactly that collection; installation notes are included.
Does the tattoo sit in game exactly as in the editor?
The editor uses the same mapping as the game, so the position matches what GTA shows. With /tattoo on your test server you check it in seconds.
Can I use existing GTA tattoos as a template?
Not yet, that is coming. Your own designs and Forge AI designs work already.
