FiveM livery tool and AI livery generator, right on the car

In the 5MC Forge vehicle editor you open a GTA vehicle or your own add-on, get the matching UV template and apply logos, lettering and patterns as layers right on the 3D model. Or you tell the built-in Forge AI what you want, for example an NFS livery, and it paints the design onto the car (from Forge Studio). The result is a FiveM resource in which every livery is selectable in game, for Legacy and Enhanced.

  • Every GTA vehicle from the game files
  • Add-ons from RAR, 7z or ZIP
  • AI livery generator built in (from Studio)
  • UV template as PNG
  • Legacy and Enhanced

How to create a livery with Forge

  1. Open a vehicle

Pick a vehicle from the GTA game files or open your own: resource folder, archive or a single yft.

  2. Check channel and UV

Forge shows whether the model has a livery channel and adds one if you want. You save the UV template as an image.

  3. Apply the design

In the livery studio place graphics as layers, rotate, scale and mirror them. One vehicle can carry several liveries.

  4. Export as a resource

As a FiveM resource, straight onto your test server or as a dlc.rpf for single player. Forge enters the number of liveries itself.

What a livery needs in GTA V

A livery is a texture laid over a vehicle's paint. To sit correctly the model needs a livery channel and a clean livery UV, a layout in which every panel has its own place. Without it a logo appears twice, mirrored or distorted. For every livery to be selectable in game, their number also has to be in carvariations.meta.

Forge checks exactly that: in the “Channel and UV” section you see whether the model is ready. “Make whole body paintable” adds a livery channel to paint parts without one. For unwrapping the UV Forge works together with Blender 4.x: send the model to Blender, unwrap there, bring the UVs back.

The UV template for your design

Asking for a “GTA 5 livery template” is usually asking for the UV template: an image that shows where roof, bonnet, sides, front and rear sit on the texture. Forge saves this template for the open vehicle as a PNG, drawn from the layout that is actually in the model. You paint on it in your image editor or let an image model paint. How that works is in Find and use a GTA 5 livery template.

The livery studio

  • Logos, lettering and patterns as layers: move, rotate, scale, mirror, duplicate.
  • Loaded graphics sit next to it and become a new layer with one click.
  • “Split assets” cuts a sheet with several graphics into single pieces, such as crest, lettering and stripes.
  • Several liveries per vehicle, plus the paint colour that goes into the export.
  • Undo and redo for strokes, eraser strokes and graphics.

Turn downloaded vehicles into a FiveM resource

Many vehicles from the web come as single-player add-ons in an archive. Forge opens resource folders, archives (RAR, 7z, ZIP) and single yft files and exports the result as a FiveM resource with fxmanifest.lua. Next to stream it creates stream_enhanced so the vehicle also drives on FiveM Enhanced.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with add-on vehicles?

Yes. You open a resource folder, an archive (RAR, 7z, ZIP) or a single yft. If the model lacks a livery channel, Forge adds one on request.

Do I need Photoshop?

Not necessarily. You place logos and lettering directly in the livery studio. For a fully custom design you paint on the UV template in an image editor of your choice and add the result as a layer.

Can Claude build liveries?

The MCP tools cover interiors and weapons. You edit vehicle liveries in Forge by hand. An image model such as ChatGPT can still paint the texture on the UV template for you.

Which plan is enough for liveries?

Forge Creator includes every editor, the vehicle editor too, for €19.99 a month. Every tier has a free 3-day trial.
