Design a FiveM car with AI: livery, tuning and lightbar in minutes
One sentence instead of Photoshop: Forge AI paints the livery right onto the GTA car, you tune it with real GTA parts, add a lightbar and drive it in game. The video shows the whole way.
Your own FiveM livery used to mean: extract the UV template, paint in Photoshop for hours, convert the texture back, build a resource and hope nothing shifts. With the AI in 5MC Forge you describe the design in one sentence. Forge paints it onto the car, you see it in 3D right away and build a finished resource for Legacy and Enhanced from it.
The workflow in six steps
- Pick a car: search the vehicle in the Forge GTA list and open it. It starts blank, without a livery, so you see what the AI makes of it.
- Describe: tell Forge AI what you want, for example “a green racing livery with sponsors”. It checks the car's UV template and paints a draft.
- Apply: the draft goes onto the car as a livery. If something is off, tell the AI in plain words and it repaints.
- Tune: the tuning window lists the real GTA parts of this car, such as spoilers, bumpers, exhausts and wheels. One click shows the part on the car instantly, and it is fitted when the car spawns.
- Lightbar: for emergency vehicles you put a lightbar from GTA on the roof and move it into place with the arrows.
- Drive: “To test server” puts the car into your local FXServer. When everything fits, “Export as resource” builds the finished resource.
How to describe a good livery
The AI needs no jargon, but clear details. The more precise colour, style and content are, the fewer rounds you need.
- Base colour and accent: “black with neon green stripes”.
- Style: racing, police, taxi, company car, graffiti.
- Lettering: give the text word for word, for example your faction's name.
- What stays clear: “windows and headlights without pattern”.

white with a dark blue swoosh along the sides, lettering on both doors,
roof number 12 on top, plain bonnet. How police liveries with roof numbers and wraps are built in detail is covered in Create a FiveM police livery. If you would rather paint yourself or use ChatGPT, see Vehicle livery with ChatGPT.
Tuning from GTA instead of addon parts
Many servers load a whole addon car just for a few spoilers. Most GTA vehicles bring their own tuning parts, though. Forge reads them from the game and shows them as tiles. Whatever you pick is fitted when the car spawns, without extra models on your server. That keeps the download small for players.
Lightbars for emergency vehicles
In the lights step you pick a lightbar, for example the police or sheriff one, and put it in the right place. The flash pattern and siren box are included in the export; in game you switch them on with E. Check the result on the test server before it goes to the live server.
What it costs
The AI is part of Forge Studio (€49.99 a month) and Enterprise. On the Studio plan the monthly quota covers about 20 designs. Forge Creator from €19.99 has all editors and MCP for your own Claude, but not the built-in Forge AI: there you design the livery yourself or let your Claude help. Every plan can be tried free for 3 days, and Studio and Enterprise trials include 100 test credits to try the AI.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work with every GTA car?
With every vehicle you can open in Forge. For GTA vehicles Forge builds a replacement resource, for addon vehicles it adds the livery to their files.
Does the livery run on FiveM Enhanced?
Yes. On export Forge creates stream_enhanced next to stream. An Enhanced server uses that build, a Legacy server the regular one.
Can I touch up the livery myself afterwards?
Yes. The livery is a normal texture. You can export it, change it in an image editor and put it back, or tell the AI what to change.
Do I need OpenIV, CodeWalker or Blender?
No. Forge reads GTA V directly and builds the resource itself. All you need is a GTA V installation on your computer.
